Play after Play sets the stage with movement, sound and music. Our performance style is simple and engaging, with almost no set, costumes or props, allowing children to use their imaginations as they journey with us.
Then we Play
After the Story, we invite the children to Play with us one on one in the “play space” (a large area covered with mats). In our Play we meet each child's quality of energy with respect and gentleness. We model loving gentle play with an emphasis on safety and caring for each other. We respect every child's decision to enter into play or not.

Comments from Past Attendees
"Thank you for one of the most wonderful performances I have ever seen. I expected to have a good time, but did not expect to be so moved and delighted and enchanted."
"Thank you for creating this theater and doing this play that reaches these young ones where they are. You are so wonderful to watch! Nothing wasted - clean, crisp, fabulous. No gimicks or gunk, just your ever expanding selves. Each time my daughter and I come, I get to see what new place she is in, as she takes each next step, of sitting by herself on the mat, of going out to play with you. In her own time as we allow. So beautiful. Where is there to rush to anyways?"
"Their work is phenomenal. Certainly groundbreaking when it comes to children's theatre -- they are not the typical totally-goofy kiddo fare, they are educational, FUN and still hold meaning."
"Their [the children's] imaginations are completely engaged in sharp contrast to shows that are all fanfare and noise. Thank you again and expect to see a lot of us in the future!"
"Your work/play--or is it play/work--is so attentive to real human needs (physical, emotional, spiritual). The rules of Original Play are rules to live by off the mat as well as on. And the work of play is perhaps the most important work we humans can do. I am writing, really, to tell you how valuable--and deeply beautiful--your work is."
